Happy New Year 2010 to all. I been away from blogging.....i was too busy hiding from truth and reality. I've been pretending again.......hehe....

For me life has taken on new meaning. When I found out that I was HIV positive I felt the same way like death was coming to get me. but its not.
I have read stories and instances where people live for years up to twenty years with HIV, no body came here to live forever, right, so in reality death is coming to get us one day or the other.
Lets talk about the good things your viral load has decreased you CD4 increased, you still have your lover and you still liming, that means that you still have life. so live it, do not sit around and tell yourself that you have lost any battles. There are people out there with worse diseases than HIV and dying in worse conditions than the person with HIV, like the man with Cancer or the Lady with Diabetes who lost her both legs.
So go out have fun just remember, take your meds and use condoms.
And you still have your lover, mine left. Twenty minutes after I told him he sent me an email to tell me he cant be with me and he is sorry. By the way I am a girl with a boyfriend.
Boy I have no intention of looking or feeling like I have HIV until I reach 65. I going to keep doing the same thing I doing and living and laughing and when I gone people must say only good things about me.

I knew I had the HIV virus long before I got tested. The symptoms were there and I would say quietly at night...." I have it ". I think the doctor who ordered the test knew so too. Maybe he was being kind in having other tests done so it wouldn't look 'so obvious '.
I don't like the term stating I am HIV positive. I have a name, an identity, a personality, I'm skilled. Positive isn't my surname and an acronym certainly isn't my first name.
I know why and how I contracted it. I definitely ought to have known better. Stupid, ridden by emotions I kick myself...sometimes... for having to now include these visits and take this medication.... I hope there's a cure soon. I'm selfish. Good to hear encouraging news about prevention but I NEED a CURE!
I drive past that old white colonial building on weekends sometimes and steal a glance sideways. I DREAD trying to slip in incognito when it's my due date for bloods or meds. What if someone I know finds out?
Some things niggle your mind.... the translucent black plastic bags, the extension cord to the television in the verandah. I feel so dehumanized knocking on that glass to get the meds despite the smile of the dispenser. It's like circa 1975 in a refugee camp in Africa. Swift to exit.
